The Practice Staff

The Practice Manager
Our practice manager is Mrs Sarah Price. Mrs Price may be contacted through reception and is available to assist you with any problems or difficulties that cannot be sorted out by our receptionists. She is always happy to receive any comments or suggestions you may have which might improve our service.

Receptionists
Our receptionists Jane, Carol, Laura, Eileen, Joanne, Lucy and Shirley are here to help guide you and advise you by arranging appointments for the various clinics, doctors and nurses. All information is treated in the strictest confidence. Please remember that their job at times is not an easy one and they appreciate your co-operation.

Administration Team
We have an enthusiastic administration team.
Pauline, our finance manager, looks after all financial matters of the practice. Our prescription clerk Margaret issues repeat prescriptions and looks after changes to medication. Margaret is available to help with any problems you may have regarding your repeat prescriptions. Our secretary Lesley is helped by Heather and between them they look after all the general correspondence of the practice. If you have a problem with a referral or a hospital appointment they will be able to help you. Lucy looks after all insurance claims, requests from solicitors and disability claims etc. Jacqueline can help with any enquiries regarding registrations, change of names, addresses etc.

Nursing Staff
We have four part-time practice nurses - Mandy, Jackie, Carol and Karen Spencer - and three healthcare assistants: Karen Williams, Maggie and Tina. As well as carrying out normal nursing duties they also run an asthma clinic, diabetic clinic, well woman clinic, healthy heart clinic, immunisations, cervical smears and provide advice on health in relation to travel abroad. The nurses can be seen via the appointment system.

General Practitioner Registrars And Students
Our practice is a training/teaching practice. Our registrars are fully qualified and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to our practice for 6-12 months and usually become general practitioner partners after completing their training. They are at all times encouraged to seek advice when required from the practice partners.

When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would consult with one of our registrars who are excellent doctors, appointed by the practice.

We are also fortunate to have medical students attached to our practice for short periods. If you do not wish to have the student present during your consultation please inform the reception staff prior to seeing the doctor.

District Nurses
Our district nurse team led by Jane can be contacted through reception.
